Has a viable solution been found for a replacement battery for the Autel Premium X-Star ? My three batteries are dead so I have two X-Star drones that I would like to use again.

Like everyone else I hit the corporate greed firewall when I approached Autel with this issue. I partially understand why Autel no longer “supports” their product or are willing to help any Autel customers with the x-star. But I can’t help feeling abandoned by their corporate stratagem of quick profit over long term customer loyalty. Hard for me to accept, I am of a generation where most products weren't designed to fail after a few uses. If no solution can be found i will never buy another of their products. I am confident Autel does not care. All about point of sale.

Thinking about sending the two X-Star bricks I have back to Autel HQ, maybe if every owner does this they can have a giant x-star bonfire.

I mean no disrespect, but perhaps it is time to buy a new drone :)

Yea thanks for the help.

Anyone know how to ship drones to the Ukrainian Army? Maybe they can get them to work.

The dump is open tomorrow and I'm curious if, to be realistic, I should just take my XSP and drop it off there and let them move it on to the landfill?

I mean, is there anything really salvageable from the package, assuming there is no help for the two deader than heck batteries?

I also mean no disrespect, but would you buy a brand new car, just because your perfectly functional one has a dead battery? Imagine Chevy or Ford, etc.. would no longer sell you a battery to get your perfectly good and usable car running, just because it's 2 or 3 or 4 years old?

I too am still holding out hope for a battery solution for the past few years, I have 2 practically brand new X-Stars that have only been flown a handful of times. Luckily I still have 3 working batteries, but this is just beyond corporate greed. Autel knew from the start there was a problem with these batteries, and instead of fixing them, they chose to let the stock they had run out, and abandoned all of their consumers that bought one. At this point, I know many have said it,and been called crazy, but I seriously think it's time for a class action, or group lawsuit. There are literally thousands of X-Star owners out there with brand new drones just gathering dust all because of defective batteries that Autel was aware of from day 1. They offered zero help after their stock of replacement batteries ran out. They also take no responsibility that because the few working batteries still out there were being sold on ebay often times for more than the drone is worth, I've seen sellers on ebay selling people dead batteries for ridiculous prices and then just vanishing with their money, sometimes up to $350 or more for a single battery. Autel never once offered a single owner of an X-Star an option to trade in their drone for a newer model, at least that I am aware of. Autel is one company that even though I'd love to have one of their newer drones, I refuse to buy any more of their drones because of this .

I, too, feel the same about Autel and the way customer support was/is handled. Beginning in another 30 days I plan on trying my best to repair the battery packs I have to prevent the wasteful dumping of a perfectly fine drone. Also, I will never recommend any other Autel products, diagnostic or drone, to anyone.

I totally feel ya, it's still a great drone, that takes excellent video and pics, we all just need new batteries. I am honestly really shocked that not a single company has tried to cash in on this opportunity of making 3rd party replacement batteries. If I was more connected in the drone scene like a youtuber, I'd be hitting up vendors left and right to see if anyone would pick up the torch.
