Picking up X-Star today.

Also some of those tarp type thingies will help it keep cooler.

Might help to keep out unwanted guests like snake and squirrels. Helps cut down on cleaning time when you don't have to clean all the leaves that blew in over night.
Just guessing.
Yup. I got mice all the time. Yuck. Covers also help reduce heat escaping at night. They reduce evaporation, which is more significant than I thought over a hot summer. There’s a float valve that keeps-up the water level. On hot days, it clicks on/off all day. I got a cheap bubble cover and it largely stopped...

Why would they cover the pool on this summer heat?
That was before the pool opened this year. I wanted a shot that had some depth to it to show the camera's capabilities.

Down here, almost everyone and their grandma has a pool. Since we have summer all year round, no one ever covers their pools. We don't get smimming mice, snakes, etc. In some areas there may be an iguana, but that's about it. Usually nature takes care of filling them up, unless there is a draught. It is also a great place to put patio chairs when a Hurricane is coming.

My point is, I am not used to seeing it covered up, so had to ask.
