Strange view from gimbal

Flying in my back yard at low height and just wanted to get a picture of the sun I and raised it up a bit.
Everything at roof top level or above was blacked out with horizontal lines running thru it

That is probably the overexposure warning...usually called "zebra stripes" that does not show up in the final recorded video/picture just in the viewer... Although you described them as "horizontal lines" the Zebra stripes are vertical.
There is a selection in the camera settings of the app to prevent them from showing up in your viewer

I know the feeling. Happened to me when I was trying to photograph this horse.
