I got a job to do a facade inspection and running into some issues. Was trying to use waypoints mission to do the job. Found that the android Explorer app does not allow certain elevations to be set such as 34, 35, 37, 38, 40, 44, 45 feet and more. It seems that Autel programmed the app in metric with 1 meter increments then conversion is made when using imperial/feet units. iOS works fine though. I contacted Autel but haven’t received a a response as yet. I also found some other issues which are concerning if I intend to use this drone for work.

Thanks for letting everyone know. Please chime back with what you learn from Autel.
Autel replied to me and admitted that it’s a bug in the software. They said that they won’t fix it because explorer v1.2.14 is no longer being supported, They told me that I should figure out how to make the best of their flawed software to do my job. This is very disappointing. I guess I’ll be purchasing a DJI drone soon for work, can’t afford to provide substandard work for my clients. Here’s the response below:

Hello,

Sorry for the delayed response. It appears that the altitude issue is a bug in the Autel Explorer app for the EVO II V1. You may need to adjust the altitude to a level the app will accept. Unfortunately, since we are no longer updating the app, this issue cannot be fixed. You'll need to work around this in order to continue using your EVO II V1 unit.

If you have any further questions, feel free to reply directly to this email and I'd be happy to assist.

Best Regards,
