Evo 1 Random Connectivity to Controller

My Evo 1 continues to work flawlessly except for one specific issue that recently began, as follows:

​

Cold start and controller connects to drone and no issue (takes flight).​

Use 3 batteries consecutively without turning off controller (about 75 min flight time).​

Turn off controller and install 4th battery (fully charged), restart sequence (same as cold start) and now controller will not connect with drone, no matter what.​

Wait about an hour or two and cold start again, everything works and takes flight. When controller is turned off again (after flight) same issue, won't reconnect. Need to wait another hour or two.​

Certainly seems like an electronic issue and was wondering if anyone has had this situation occur.

fan full of dirt needs to be cleaned and new thermal paste installed .
