Evo 1 battery issue with controller

Hello,
I have an EVO 1 that I only used once since I still had my DJI, so I sorta put this one in a princes box. I took it out and charged it all up it shows 99 percent charged but as soon as I unplug it, it shuts off... I called support but they will not do anything for it as they say they don't support EVO 1,s anymore. I was wondering if anyone here has had the same issue and found a fix? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Aside from taking it apart and replacing the internal battery I would just try a power bank maybe?
