Hello Evo flyers.
I would like to bring up the subject about flying in colder weather. A lot of flights cut way short. Anybody else have suggestions or comments
The only success I had flying in the cold on a 35 degree day. I wore my Milwaukee heated coat and kept the battery in the warming pocket. I set up everything for the flight but did not install battery till I was ready to take off . I had a successful flight inspecting a roof which was 80% snow covered and found 6 ft of ridge caps missing .

I too always get cold flying in the winter, when I get brave enough to fly !
I find the easiest way to stay warm, is to stay inside ! ? ?
Sounds like you are doing the best you can !
Watch some of Captain Drones Videos as see what he does to stay warm !

I flew at below zero regularly last year, as low as 18 below and many just as close. I just wear a good coat, hat and a fleece neck gaiter I pull up over my face (cold air gives me a toothache) and some touch screen gloves. Keeping the body warm keeps the extremities warm. 53 winters in Alaska teach you a thing or 2. Not as tough as I used to be though.
