5. If the upgrade fails, unplug the USB drive, restart RC, and upgrade again.
Thank you!
That worked great.

I did this update, the aircraft went solid green and the remote was hung on the update, I read the instructions and it said to restart the aircraft and confirm the firmware version. The aircraft will not connect to the remote. I believe the aircraft updated correctly but the remote did not. Now they will not pair. Will have to call CS as they are closed. Anyone know how to manually update the Remote to the correct version with it not connecting to the aircraft?
Thanks,

noahtillotson posted the fix below! Thanks

My RC is updated, but I think the aircraft is not, so im not paired with the aircraft.
does anyone know how I can update the aircraft manually without it being paired to the remote?

Are you sure?

Are you sure the RC got updated? Usually it does the aircraft first, then the RC and most folks were having it fail on the RC.

Check to see what version you have on the RC in the about menu. It's pretty easy to fix the remote, Autel support will just send you the file to toss on a USB stick and you plug it in and go.

For the aircraft I think they'll send a file as well but you gotta put on a micro SD card.. unsure of any special procedures tho, I haven't had to do it yet.

I encountered the same issue today. In my case, the controller completed the firmware update, but the drone's update got stuck at 8%. After the drone's battery ran out, I replaced the battery and restarted all the devices. Thankfully, the app successfully completed the drone update afterward. It seems both the RC and drone updates were completed, although I haven't had a chance to test it in flight yet.

Same exact thing happened to me, and everything seems to be working fine for the time being. Didn’t need to manually update.

I’m not sure if Autel will let you revert back.

If it were me, I would call or email support and ask for both RC and aircraft update files to manually update.

I have 2 drones model 4N, updated them 2 days ago one drone did not flash to 1.8.2 on the second did not flash the remote. it's just a horror, but I quickly corrected it remote updated manually from a flash drive, and the drone manually from the card sd.

So I just updated my 4T today, not sure how long the update has been out for. I’m really curious about how well this new fire and smoke target option works.

Also, what is this skyawareness thing and how will it work? Same question about this 4T-XE gimbal.

Sky awareness will spot FAA approved airplanes flying in your area, so that you can be aware and fly safely.
