Skyawareness appears to be some sort of ADS-B notification for local aircraft. the settings are under More and then Safety (scroll down)
Do you think you’ll be able to see that live on the map screen, haven’t messed with it yet.

Note
- When the update is complete, the aircraft firmware update progress may still show "updating"on the app. Please use the rear arm indicator lights as an update status reference. If they are solid green, it indicates that the aircraft has completed the update. Then, power cycle the device and verify fy the firmware version.
- Versions V1.7 (Aircraft: V1.7.0.1.149; RC: 1.6.0.138) or earlier and V1.8 (Aircraft: V1.8.2.237; RC:1.8.2.237) or later are incompatible. In other words, if the aircraft firmware is at V1.7 or earlier while the RC firmware is at V1.8 or later, or vice versa, the aircraft and the RC will not pair.
- The EVO Max firmware and the app can only be updated through OTA(Over-The-Air) methods. However, if you encounter an update issue or the RC and Aircraft cannot pair,please contact our customer service at +1 (844) 692 8835 or email us at [email protected].
- After updating to V1.8, forcing a downgrade to an older version via SD card is not supported.
- Only firmware versions V1.8 or above will support the 4T XE gimbal.
- After updating to V1.8, please ensure that the Loudspeaker and Spotlight Combo are also updated to the latest firmware version to fully utilize all features. For the Loudspeaker and Spotlight Combo update instruction, please visit Autel Robotics official website and go to Downloads ds > Enterprise Products > EVO Max Series > Tool > Loudspeaker and Spotlight Combo.
I did this update, the aircraft went solid green and the remote was hung on the update, I read the instructions and it said to restart the aircraft and confirm the firmware version. The aircraft will not connect to the remote. I believe the aircraft updated correctly but the remote did not. Now they will not pair. Will have to call CS as they are closed. Anyone know how to manually update the Remote to the correct version with it not connecting to the aircraft?

Same issue with mine. The new version of the aircraft firmware doesn't sync with the older controller software.
I emailed support. Hoping they'll just send me the APK to install the code on the controller since it keeps telling me the software is up to date when I click app upgrade.

I got that green light thing - it stopped at 9% for most of a battery. I eventually just restarted it and it worked fine on a test flight.
Follow these instructions, you’ll have to manually update both and then they will sync again.
The new firmware version has been released for the EVO Max series on August 5th.

1. Format a USB drive and copy the "RC79.uav" file into it. (FAT32 or exFAT Format.)
2. Turn on Remote Controller (RC) and wait for 1 minute and then insert USB drive.
3. Click "Confirm" to enter the upgrade interface, and then click "Update All".
4. Wait for the progress bar to 100%. Restart the RC and check the firmware table in Settings.
5. If the upgrade fails, unplug the USB drive, restart RC, and upgrade again.
Just doing the updates now and should of did some reading here. R/C went fine but the bird it hanging at 8%. Good thing I started with a full battery but I have a hunch that it will just go dead if I leave it.

Looks like it's all working now after doing a test flight. I did notice the "Night Mode" icon is ghosted. Anyone know why? At least it will not turn on. I need that feature.

No, I do not believe so. Stealth is when your turning off the marker lights on the arms and others off. At least as I see it. I tried it last night when it was good and dark and guess what I seen, black everything except for lighting fixtures. Thermo was good but the night mode is not working for me.
