Stop saving thumbnails on android device?

Is there a way to make the app stop saving these tiny little thumbnails on the android device? It saves a thumbnail for every phone or video. So my recent images list on my phone (for any other app looking for images) is blown up by all these crappy thumbnails. They're saved in a different new directory for every flight with what appears to be a GUID for a directory name.

Figured it out. Can't stop them from existing. But I can make the phone stop looking for them. Put a file named .nomedia in the flight log directory and it will not longer be scanned for media.
