I have a spot that shows up on my video's when flying into the sun.
It's the same color and the shape changes with the angle that the sun hits the lens. I believe there is something inside the lens or even a small scratch or crack. It's very pronounced. See attached youtube link.
Is this normal? to me it ruins the video. Any thoughts. First video it very clear around the 41/2 minute spot

Congratulations; you've found the infamous Autel Carrot! This is a known issue. I believe some have found that a lens hood helps; I haven't heard if an ND filter helps or not.

Outdoor, let me help.
New here and to Drone's. X-star coming Thurs.
But, been a photog for many years and professionally for a bunch.
Thats whats called "lens refraction"
Comes from the the lens elements and diaphragm of the iris of the lens.
Can not stop it going into the sun.
Even with many thousand dollar slr lens I have used, it still appears.
You can avoid it by not shooting into sun, but thats no fun.
Or, use it to your advantage and plan your dramatic shots around it.
Polarizers can help, but cuts down on your aperture speed.
ND filters reduce the amount of light entering camera.
PL filters will help if you get 90 degrees of the glare.
Think of PL sunglasses.

Still hard to eliminate.
Use it to your advantage for dramatic effect.
Hope that helps

Thanks.
Not sure how to use such a defined mark to my advantage. To me it's a distraction.
It just seem strange to have the same mark, shape & color every time when the sun hit the lens.
Thanks for the info

Thanks Drone Driver. I needed the laugh this morning. To quote Larry the Cable Guy," I don't care who you are, that's funny right there"
