We have lost 2 EVO II V3 RTK drones in the past month, on mapping missions, with return to home set at 25%. Both times before return, battery voltage dropped precipitously and drones emergency landed, once in water, once in wet mud. First drone battery cycled about 25 times, and assumed was a heat issue. Second drone was new, purchased 6/13/2024 and batteries were new, cycled maybe 2-3 times before incident. Not replacing with Autel.

Sorry to hear of your loss.
By your post I gather that you were actively watching the battery cell voltages and temperatures.
What were the battery temps like during the flight and during the bad events?

So this is just a theory. I opened up my Evo1 drone controller to change the battery, to my surprise there is a silly little fan connected inside of your drone on the battery rack that cuts on automatically to cool the battery, if you drop your controller, it is possible that that fan can be knocked off very easily which it does. You get the battery warning of damage battery or over heating. One way to check is before you fly, make sure you hear the fan coming on in your controller and then coming off. So guys again this is not proven just an Observation theory.
