Making drone motors in China

Wow, that brought back memories. Before I retired, I would go to China at least twice a year, either to attend trade shows, or to make sales calls with our local sales people. What is likely true, but not shown, is that the factory has on-site dormitories where the factory workers live. Their pay isn't great, but they have food provided and a place to sleep. Shenzhen is the "Silicon Valley" of China, which makes it one of the more affluent and expensive cities there - the other 3 being Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. The people are very nice, but it is really hard to get by without local language skills. You are probably OK in one of those "Big 4" cities, but you wouldn't want to be on your own in a smaller city - people there have hardly any English skills outside of the hotels, and many have never seen a Westerner. As a tall, linebacker-sized westerner, I was constantly stared at when I was there. I visited there about 25 times.
