And I can confirm that in h265 with color profile set to "none" there is no sky color banding.

These are screenshots of the breakdown that occurs when you try to edit the log profile . You can see the "None" profile looks the best and was not edited at all. The horrible looking edited log profile is actually lightly edited...it just falls apart quickly.

Any suggestions?
