FYI, I installed New Version Windows 24H2 yesterday.

Today, JPG's from both my EVO II units will not open, says they are corrupt.
JPG's from DJI, Pixel Phone, everything else work fine ?

Thought it was corrupt SD card, etc. but loaded them on older PC Windows 10, Works fine.

Interesting Video, from the same two drones work ok, no problem with new Version of Windows.

Strange.....

What are you using to open them? Have you tried Faststone or Paint.net? It sounds like your JPG viewer doesn't like something about the files. I would just get a different viewer. I use Windows Photo Viewer, Paint.Net, Fastone, Lightroom, or Photoshop depending on what I am doing....I never use the W11 photos app, its terrible.

I used these steps to re-enable Windows Photo Viewer in Windows 11. It is still one of my favorite apps to quickly view a single photo.

Thanks, I tried different programs to open it, but nothing seems to work. Didn't have this problem before Windows Update.
Thinking of reverting back to previous version of Windows, doesn't seem like they have all the bugs sorted out.

It appears, though, that Since DJI and Pixel Phone jpgs open fine, that some type of file creation structure software on the drone my be outdated or in need of updating.
I don't understand enough about how that is coded.

Appreciate your thoughts and wisdom.

That is really odd, I have never heard of that before. I am still on W11 23H2. Do you only shoot JPGs out of the EVO? I only shoot RAW DNGs then post process in Lightroom, so I have never shot a JPG with my EVO II. I am pretty sure the problem will be fixed if you shoot RAW then post process to a JPG.

Also, even though you tried different programs, did you specifically try Paint.Net or FastStone? Both programs are free and can open almost anything.

Thanks, again. I do only shoot jpg's. I really just do Maps, Construction progression, Ortho's, Survey related. I did check with the Raw image and it opened fine as you suggested.
Also I installed FastStone and it opened everything fine ?

My Photogrammetry software, PixPro, processes the files fine so I am not going to jump back to the older version 23H2 at this time. Concerned I will likely complicate the issue by doing so.
As long as I can view the photo' s and process them, I will "wait and see".

I asked our friends at Autel to look into it, which they are.

Again, thank you for you kind assistance. It is appreciated.

It sounds like maybe some file associates are messed up, it could be something as small as JPG vs jpg vs jpeg in the file metadata that is throwing off Windows 11. You could probably fix them via default apps, but if FastStone works fine I would just use that, its better than any native Win11 photo viewer anyway.

File associates are pretty easy to fix though, you can type "file association" into the search bar then pick "Choose a default app for each type of file", that will bring up the file associations. type in jpg and see what is registered there. Then do the same for jpeg. It is probably FastStone now, but you can change it to another app if you so choose.

Will Do, I have never used FastStone before, it is great ! New favorite. I will look at the extensions as well.
I am sure you are correct, it must be something simple.

Thanks again.

Same issue here. Prior to update there were no issues. All other jpg images viewable in File explorer. Only autel generated jpg images present as corrupt. I can however view autel jpg in any number of other apps or programs. It is very inconvenient to have to shuffle between programs to do even the most cursery of sorting.

That is really odd, I'm still on 23H2, not even sure if I can view jpgs out of my EVO II since I never shoot JPG, but I might test it if I get the time the next time I use it.

FastStone is what I use for sorting, I can cull from over a thousand images after an event to what I need in less than 30min with FastStone, I then take the selects into LR for raw post processing.
