IR camera settings - manual brightness and contrast doesn't work

I'm trying to get the manual brightness and contrast settings to work with the IR camera. After setting the desired value, the exposure either won't adjust, or it'll only adjust briefly before changing itself back to the default settings.

Is this working for anyone?

Is this working for anyone?

I tried to understand the manual brightness and contrast settings within the IR camera settings several times, but I also could not get comprehensible results. It would be interesting to use manual settings in order to get more homogeneous imagery for IR mapping.
Anyone else any idea on that?
