Hevc or H.265 resampling.

so H.265 is a good acquisition like AVCHD but is a tiger in a cage to work with. what format are you guys transcoding to? to keep 4K ratio to work with the footage in your NLE. and what software? h264 appears to be the only codec option moving farward

H.264 and Sony Vegas is what I use.

thanks Ansia. so you must be using a newer version of Vegas Pro. I still use 10 pro because the compositing in 3D Layers is easy to set up and my old plugins still work in 32 bit and 64 bit. so then can you still keep the frame rate as per the original sample = say 50 fps 4 k. videoproc app free ...although they apparently don't want to advertise it . videoproc will resample at the same frame rate of the original so you get good slowmo.
