Has anyone had any experience flying on BLM land recently? I know the national policy is that drones are allowed. Any specifics on local or regional rules? What about national monuments administered by them?

UAS are considered to be both “motorized equipment” and “mechanical transport” to the National Forest Service and, as such, they cannot take off from, land in, or be operated from congressionally designated wilderness areas.
When it comes to National Parks, they are all the same, no take offs or landings within the park boundaries. If it is BLM land I would think you are OK providing it is also not NFS land. See, clear as mud. :D
