What is the tree kind to have this grandiose but monotonic yellow color ?

In French we call those trees trembles being cousin of the birch.(bouleau) Sorry for the french imposed tree names but we have many of these trees in southern Ontario as well though many are starting to die slowly. getting too warm?

September 28 near Peterborough Ont. this shot was made possible since the frost touched the lower parts near the river, would be interesting to see a now shot. Don't ask me the kind of trees;)

This photo from a pilot friend of mine that illustrate also a human touch from a farmer near Picton Ont. You can estimate the size with the big tractor parked beside.
