A few days ago, I had an incident with my approximately 9-month old Evo2 Enterprise where it stopped responding to controller inputs and drifted itself into a wall, and fell approx 15 feet. This airframe has been flying nearly daily since I purchased it without prior issue. Luckily the damage was minor and one of the arms snapped at the motor and the other on that side has some stress cracks in the resin. I shipped it into Autel's Bothell repair facility and just received a quote back FOR $3265 and some change. YEAH RIGHT.

Currently I can purchase a brand new exact same Enterprise bundle with batteries, smart controller, AND accessories for hundreds of dollars less!! What kind of robbery are they trying to pull?? From my understanding, the carbon arms are not available anywhere besides for directly through Autel... does anybody have a source for them? I will either repair it myself or sell it off for parts.

I had an Inspire 2 with x7 get shot down from nearly 400ft and DJI "repaired" (replaced) it for less! I guess this answers all my Autel worries when I bought this drone for mapping.

To follow up, Autel replied "The price system is different with the sales and the repair center. It is possible you could find dealers who provide more discount."
So basically they are saying the repair center knows you're stuck with them so they will charge whatever they want. They are refusing to repair, and saying the only option is to replace.... but replace it will a more than full retail price kit.

They do not sell parts anywhere, nor allow third parties to service. Wish I would have realized all of this before buying into their scam. I already learned my lesson and will be selling off the remaining kit.

Try using Vertigo Drones. I've had great service from these folks. Dwane Hinson 252.337.4933; [email protected]

Strange, they charged me $1300 total after a bird strike. Gimbal and camera was most of it at $700.

New right front arm
New top shell
New bottom shell
New gimbal
New camera

Gerry

They did the same with me. not going to explain the whole thing but to make it short . i had a evo 2 ver3 pro that had a problem. they told me that they would give me $800 for the damage one and sell me a new one for $2595 minus the $800 that would be more than what i paid for it new. I told them to send it back and a few more words with it. meanwhile i fly it all the time with out
any troubles. except the error reading on the screen.

Second update on this fiasco....
I tore the entire drone down to check for damage... one broken arm, and one cracked arm was the only damage I could find. I epoxied them both back together with and added some carbon sheet to reinforce and have been flying it for over a month with ZERO issues. Over 40 flight hours since the crash and no errors or other issues. I am still pissed at their joke of a repair quote.
I also bought a Mavic 3 Pro to use for everything except RTK mapping flights and have zero regrets, it is vastly superior in every way.

I will never buy an Autel drone again unless I get some sort of killer deal and can accept that it will never receive any service.
