4k editing

I have a Mac Pro, 2014 little can model, with 6 cores, twin 6GB FirePro D700’s and 64GB of Ram which is great for 4K editing but kinda shocked how well the latest gen 2018 iPad Pro 1TB 12.9” handles 4k60 H.265. The thing doesn’t even get warm...

That's really awesome, how a tablet can beat a desktop computer.

Haven’t tried my older version Pro (2017 model) with 265, but 4k at 25fps doesn’t bother it at all.

Yeah I’m definitely more an old school FCP guy but LumaFusion was on sale for only $15 and I’ve read really good things about it so figured I’d give it a try. Very impressive performance overall and a fairly deep set of tools, can even import LUTs. I imported Autel’s CREATIVE LUT PACK for the EVO. Kinda crazy you can bring the drone down after shooting some LOG H.265 pull the SD and load it onto the iPad with an SD reader and you’re editing and color grading on a thin tablet right there...
