I know 4K uses an enormous amount of memory, but is there a limit for a single clip shot by an Evo (4k@25fps)? I seem to “hit the wall” at 4mins 48secs, using the Autel included 32gB microcard.

You can record as long as there is space in your Micro SD card. There is a limit on FAT32, where files have to be split before hitting the 4GB mark. You can later use a program like Davinci Resolve 15 to stich both files together and you get a seamless full video.

Sounds good. I’ve been rough editing in iMovie on my iPad Pro as 4K seems to sorely tax my 9 year old iMac.

Why not record in 1080P? Most devices can't show 4k resolution anyways.
Mainly because if I shoot something good I’ll have the extra quality to fall back on, and because 4k devices will likely become more commonplace.

I though the cards were formatted ExFat?? As others have mentioned, you can record 4K video until you run out of space. On an XSP w/64gb card, that’s most of your flight. I was trying to shoot whales breaching in Hawaii once, and I just let it run the entire flight. Whales must have been unionized, on a long break. I got 20 minutes of rolling sea...zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Same here. But did you notice that all videos will end up at 8 minutes and 21 seconds (not sure how that works. maybe because I film the whole time)? Still have tons of room after filming too so just insert new battery and go again.

That's a TV for the rich. Sadly I'm poor and that is just a wet dream.
I'm not rich by no means but fortunately for me my landlord and good friend has a 60 inch or so 4k tv and also has an XSP and we like watching our vids on it.

60' are not that expensive anymore. I have a 2018 65' Samsung 4K tv and it was $900. I spent more on my Evo. Now, the price difference between the 65' and 75' in my opinion isn't worth the difference.

Depends on the type of 4k tv I suppose. He paid almost $3000 for his. Either way even $900 is beyond my means. It took me almost a year to put a little bit away each month/week to get my XSP. I will never regret it.

$3000!? I would have to sell both kidneys and 1 lung for that.
He must have one of those Q LEDs. Now I'm envious. ??

It is a QLED. It's amazing to watch our videos on it. As bad as our editing is lol.

That's what happened with my sister - but in her case she was looking at a 65" and turned into another aisle to see a 75" -- no joke -- for the same price $800. It was the Christmas rush and a sale she didn't turn down. lol Yes - I've had to go visit and see what some of these EVO 4K vids looks like in true 4K ... lol

My brother in-law was all for it too when they bought it -- until they got it home and practically had to rebuild a wall just for it -- it is so big! But he's not complaining about the TV's picture quality... lol he's complaining about the work it involved...

I have a 65” a year old lowest-grade QLED Samsung, Black Friday @ Costco, $999 they are a LOT cheaper than they used to be. Friend in Hawaii has 75” high-end “businesses expense” Sony in his restaurant. I made the 55min Hawaii video for him. He ran the original ProRes file (huge!), from a new Mac Mini. It looked great!

Yes, the new Mac Mini is something else. Pricey, though.
