ViewPoint - gives warning - doesn't work

I'm a little puzzled why all my attempts to use ViewPoint the controller says "Warn - Invalid Area" every time I touch the screen to set a new point. I tried points that were fairly close and others that were about 1/4 mile away and tried several different directions. All gave the warning and then nothing would happen. I even closed the App and came back into it with same results. All the while I burned through a battery just trying to get this to work. It can't be any kind of restricted flight area. I'm way out in the country with no airports around for 10 or 12 miles. Waypoints work as well as Orbit but not ViewPoint. Any ideas? Using the Autel App on iOs 12+ iPhone 6s Plus.
