Standard controller and iphone no workie

So after updating my EVO 2 V2 8k drone and my standard controller BAM! After i plug my iPhone in and the app launches the countdown begins. 5 4 3 2 1 then the controller displays connecting and does not accept any input what so ever without manually powering everything off. I have tried different cables, different iphones, sw reload, and yet the same result. Everything is fine until i plug my phone in. What the heck?
