This bit in the 2.3.0 changelog was interesting, but I haven't been able to find any details on it at the Autel site so far. Has anyone figured out how it differs from regular orbit?

Unfortunately the weather isn't going to cooperate for me for a few days (maybe a week, ugh) so I can't even attempt anything yet.

i don’t believe the new features are available until Autel release the new version of the Explorer App

Yeah I was wondering about this feature as well. My guess was that it made Orbit a little bit more like typical Orbit functions of other devices and you (hopefully) didn't have to perform all the functions of what our Orbit function requires now. For my use, I really find the setup where you have to fly right over the object, and then fly out the radius, to be rather troublesome. I'm use to the DJI Orbit which didn't need you to do any of that.

I've tried out the feature, and can confirm its much more similar to the Orbit functions we're traditionally use to. Much easier to use.

LOL
And who are you referring to "Orbit functions we're traditionally use to." Must be a DJI thing I am guessing.

The Evo 2's my first drone, so not sure I can relate to traditional views of orbit yet. I'm guessing this means no need to fly over the target to set the center? Hoping the obnoxious distance restrictions are relaxed, ~300ft isn't nearly enough to shoot most things worth orbiting and I end up having to wing it with dual stability.
