It's Autel this drone sucks and Autel drones always seem to have massive connectivity issues I had them with this drone....the Enterprise EVO 6K and standard 6K. Not sure why they don't seriously look into this it's obvious they don't care about consumer drones or their customers flying them.

I'm with you there. My original Lite+ disconnected and crashed for no reason, and now its warranty replacement is constantly disconnecting from the iOS app but thankfully not the controller. Somehow I can still always land the drone when it disconnects like that. I've had enough of this company's buggy drones and am going back to DJI.

Thankfully my Nano+ has never had a problem, but I also don't allow firmware updates to that one.

Do you really think that Autel should have left the firmware in which half the world was in a no-fly zone, and in all of Europe the flight altitude was limited to 120 meters? They removed it, and they did the right thing. I hope they don't restrict their drone pilots anymore.

Curious for sure. Also that Autel released the firmware back in July and didn't provide new Android or iOS Sky apps which left us without the ability to install 2.0.15 is odd. The Nano forum is going through the same ordeal with their firmware. Looks like their new 1.9.8 firmware was also removed from the Autel site

Does anyone have the last official firmware for Lite+ in order to force an update?
My Lite+ is nuts....I have made IMU, Compass, Gimbal calibration (damn, I know all that from my fleet of EVO2PRO), but in Sport mode, with all proximity sensors off, the drone is going in line forward than after a few hundred meters is taking a strong left....Same when is going backwards, after a few hundred meters is going in one side strong.
Also gimbal is not keeping the straight line when drone is fwd+left or fwd+right, is just inclining a little (no, is not FPV, I am old Autel user).

After a few calibrations, also RC calibration, is just not willing to work properly....Is enough a wind of 8 to 10 Km/H from a side (very light wind), and is going rogue, turning if i want to go fwd....like is not compensating for wind.

Dumb drone....this is the second one that I got, first one had optical issues.

Appreciate the update. I'm going to reach out to Autel as well and see if I can get answers from them regarding the missing app in the app store, and when we can expect to see an updated version.
With the drone ban likely not going to pass in the Senate, I see no reason they should be worried about there drones being banned. If anything this should entice Autel to continue with supporting the products developed. TBD...

Autel Sky (iOS) V1.7.30 is only compatible with firmware V2.0.19 (EVO Lite Series) & V1.9.10 (EVO Nano Series).

After updating to firmware V2.0.19 (EVO Lite Series) or firmware V1.9.10 (EVO Nano Series), downgrading to a lower version is no longer supported.

Bug Fixes and Optimizations:

Compliance with EU C-Marking Regulations:

Optimized the maximum following distance and speed limits for Tracking feature to comply with EU C-Marking regulations. (EVO Nano & Lite Series)

The website still shows 1.9.9 so obviously still confusing. Back in July Autel did the same thing by announcing Firmware 2.0.15 and then within 2 weeks pulling it. Wasn't any explanation and several pilots were left screwed for several days. Personally I'm not too confident in upgrading my aircraft and especially not if as Autel states "downgrading to a lower version is no longer supported" . Certainly don't want to be stuck with an expensive brick.

Autel has posted several new firmware modules for the Evo Lite+, accompanied by a new app version (1.4.100). The latter hasn't materialized in Google Play, though, so I downloaded the .apk file from Autels official support web site. The download works, but I have not been able to install the app on two different mobiles (one with Android 12, the other one with Android 14). The error message just says that something went wrong, so the apk couldn't be installed. Autel support performed as usual, i.e. I have not received an answer from them regarding the installation error or as to when the app will be available in Google Play.

I'd like to install the new firmware, because the release notes say that Remote ID functionality was enhanced. As this is basically a requirement to fly at all in the area where I live, I'd like to check whether they finally implemented that. After all, that was announced for sometime in spring 2023.

Please let me know in case you were able to install the .apk, because I would be interested in how you did it - maybe there is some hidden twist to install the .apk that I don't know of. Thanks!

Hello friend. Today is the 5th of December 2024 and after i have cleaned my mobile i got a message from autelsky app asking to update which i did, after that it asked for update for the drone so i did it, and now i have renote id, and for the first time is asking me to load a geo fence file. I can't find any notes in this update, can anyone help?

That's nice, but is obviously only for other regions of the world. Where I live, all Autel apps were taken off the Google Play store, so I'm unable to upgrade.

NB: It's not that there is only an older app version available, like several times in the past, but the Autel Sky (or any other Autel app, for that matter) is completely gone. The QR code on the Autel web site let's me download the APK file, but due to security requirements of other apps, sideloading is not an option on my phone.
