Does anyone notice poor battery life on the latter firmware? I have no comparison. All 3 brand new batteries have horrible endurance.

I get horrible endurance (battery life / flight times) on all three brand new supplied batteries (Nano+ package with the 3 batteries etc.)

Typical flight endurance is maximum 17 minutes, despite "specs" stating around 28 minutes and anecdotal reports of around 24minutes.

All batteries have now cycled about 6 times and all batteries show no improvement for flight endurance.

The LONGEST flight I achieved was 17 minutes and that was hobbling home with barely a few percent in the tank. ie. Endurance is around 15 minutes safely.

STATIC TEST
I've also completed hovering test (garage...no wind) and still only achieve 15 minutes (landed at 9%).

CONCLUSION
Battery life is terrible, well below manufacturer claims and allowance for real world conditions, regardless of conservative flight modes.

So I just booted up the Nano this afternoon and I noted that there were no red firmware warnings on the iPhone. Checked the latest Firmware and it appears to be back to 1.8.5! Seems like the 1.9.8 release that I originally opened this thread for has been removed? Not just on my phone but I've checked the Autel website too and it's gone. Strange!?

For those few of you that got 1.9.8 release, do you still have it? Any ideas what's going on, is Autel going to cease support for the Nano?

Autel support about 1.9.8:

Regarding the firmware upgrade issue you mentioned, our newly launched firmware has some known bugs. We are in the process of fixing them. Please be patient; we expect to re-launch the new firmware with bug fixes by early September. You can update at that time.

The firmware and software are certainly secure.
However, we recently received feedback from some customers regarding minor bugs in the new firmware. Therefore, we have taken it offline for optimization and testing before relaunching it.

I had 1.9.8 and it was broken on iOS. I lost ability to start my Aircraft.
