After the most recent firmware update for the drone that came out around July 15, 2024 drone deploy quit recognizing my jpg assets as RTK flight assets. After a few frustrating attempts and multiple flights making sure I had everything working properly I still was getting Average GPS trust scores of like 32 feet which is way off from what I normally get for an RTK flight which is like .13ft average GPS trust. After staring at my screen like a mad man and talking to both Drone deploy and Autel support about the issue. I noticed something on one of the Drone deploy screens that was different. In the section for the map accuracy report on the website I noticed that under Camera Make it said Camera. This stood out to me from the beginning as odd because it had always said Autel Robotics. So in one last aggravated attempt to figure out what was going on I opened the folder on my memory card and selected all of the 756 jpg files from my flight. I right clicked the screen (on Windows) went to properties then details and scrolled down to where it said camera maker in that Metadata tag it simply said Camera. I clicked there and changed it to say Autel Robotics and then clicked ok. Where I selected all of the files it took a moment to write the new corrected tag and then I uploaded all of the files again to Drone deploy like I always have done, and low and behold all is right in the world again. Everything looks and worked exactly as it should.
Just putting this out there because it was very frustrating and I was not getting anywhere with either support team although they were both trying to figure it out. I have submitted the information to both Drone Deploy and Autel Robotics so that one of them or both of them can fix the issue or figure it out. I guess Autel really needs to just release a small update or revision to the firmware to change the metadata tag back to what it used to say.
But anyway in the meantime this is a workaround to make it work.
