So I purchased a Lite Enterprise here in the US and they won't let me register, or use it basically, until it's officially released here. Autel support said to try and return it or just wait for the release which is supposed to be 4th quarter but no date yet. They said unfortunately they've caught several of their vendors selling here too soon. I guess eBay was a dumb place to purchase. Anyone else do something stupid like that? :-)

I was not aware that you need to register the drone in order to fly it? Autelpilot is also selling them.

Hi all.
I live in Switzerland and one month ago I bought an EVO Lite 640T enterprise (Europe certification C1)
This is my first experience with Autel robotics (but lot of years in DJI)
When I powered on it the first time the activation ask me only the region (default was Switzerland then I accepted).
No other things was asked me (i.e. to create an account in Autel and so on).
Is it normal?
The big problem is that I can not add my Remote ID. There is no field in the App to put my ID (it is mandatory to fly in EU and in Switzerland).
I followed the manual but the field where to put the Remote ID in the app is missed.
In the controller is pre installed the app called UAV. Is it correct? I expected was called Autel

This is why I got rid of my "NEW" Autel EVO 2 Pro 6K Version 2 with the Smart Controller(V2). I had like $5000.00 Canadian Dollars into it but I felt like Autel is leaving customers and support behind to push out new and "IMPROVED" drones out into the market place in lieu of making their existing drones more usable and more versatile with 20 or more drones they have already thrown into the mix that they have not supported or tried to make them less proprietary.

The ONLY thing they do it make their drones unrestricted but it doesn't help if the Autel drone I have bought is not able to fly because of unsupported updates and it is only flyable with certain versions of what they deem to be THEIR support base. I couldn't fly my Version 2 with a Version 1 6K Pro or even a Version 3 6K Pro and same way with the flight controller that is proprietary.

How ridiculous is that? I was very happy to take a heavy loss just to rid myself of an unsupported drone and controller.

Wake up Autel. D.J.I. is winning and you are going backwards with your support.

Let's hope that the support recovers soon. It's a real shame if Autel continues to worsen its support.
They have good drones and great potential especially now that unfortunately DJI is going through a bad period for the US market.
In my opinion it is currently the most valid alternative to DJI but it absolutely must improve its support.
The answers I received in the numerous emails sent seemed more like automatic responses from an AI and a poor one at that.
In none of the emails I sent did I receive a valid response and in no case were I asked for clarifications or given advice on what to do.
As I said they seemed like automatic responses with an initial and final part that is always the same and a generic sentence in the middle.

However, if they continue to provide this type of support, I will soon return to DJI and will definitively abandon the idea of switching to Autel.
I wanted to evaluate Autel by purchasing this evo lite 640T enterprise to do thermographic inspections but as a first experience I had a bad surprise and now it's been more than a month that I can't do the promised work.

Autel is like buying a new 2024 Chevrolet and when you have problems with it under warranty then Chevrolet telling you that we won't fix it and wait until the 2025 models come out and buy one of those models.

😨
I hope they will release next firmware next week as they promized

Ignore the haters here, did you first created a profile? If im correct you need to enter the RID in the profile you created.
Do you mean in the App on the Controller?
I do not see where I can create a profile.
Maybe is something I have to do but I do not see where.
In the manual is not mentioned and when I started the application the first time it asked me only to put the country ( in my case Switzerland was as default ) and nothing more.

I followed the manual but nothing.
Look the attached pics.
One is the man and one my controller.
The menu Remote ID is missed in my controller

Did you get yours working? I registered mine with the FAA but it keeps asking me for real name registration with the chinese aviation app even though i set it to United States so i can not take off at all. It may be getting returned this week if this cant be resolved

I had the same issue until I turned on the location feature in the app. For what ever reason the app has the location turned off by default. Once enabled I never receive the real name registration again

I had the same problem. After a lot of back and forth this is what they suggested and it works.

For aircraft:Download firmware for aircraft: ModelS-V1.0.2.23-20241122185008.Encrypt.uav to upgrade Aircraft by SD card :Note: Please ensure that the aircraft battery is over 50% before doing update.1. Format an SD card and copy the "ModelS.uav" file into the SD card. (FAT32 or exFAT Format)2. After 1 minute of powering on the aircraft, insert the SD card into the aircraft.3. If the aircraft's arm lights start to flash blue or green, it means that it has entered the upgrade mode, usually for 15 minutes.4. Wait for the upgrade process, until the arm lights stay on, it means the upgrade is successful. If the upgrade fails, you may see the red light on the arm light blinking slowly.training video: How to upgrade Aircraft by SD card(EVO Max 4T).mp4 remote controll:Download firmware for remote controll: RC6.Neutral-V1.0.2.23-20241122232037.Encrypt.uav to upgrade Remote Controller by USB drive/card reader:Note: Please ensure that the RC battery is over 50% before doing update.1.
