Just before the snow

Watching the clouds before sunrise, thought I might get in an early flight before precipitation forecast for later morning arrived. Love the low level sun angles and golden light.

Got lucky with the timing, I guess. The snapshots at end of video were taken a minute before I switched over to video for the fly around the neighborhood. All the reflected light from the bottom of the clouds was powerful. Almost too much. Video was all AUTO and zeroed out the EV.

Snow started about 3 hours later, continuing through the day and most of the night. "Wintery mix" resulted in about 3 inches of slushy mess Sunday morning. This was the scene 24 hours later. Just on the other side of the mountains, totals jumped into the 6-8 inch range.
