Anyone else experiencing Jitters and Jello since last update? I've had the EVO for over a year and never any gimbal problems. The last two lobs I've flown I'm getting intermittent shakes usually when I'm hovering. Checked the props and they look OK. Did a gimbal calibration prior to each flight.
What say ye in the EVO world? Perhaps you can chime in @Ansia . Thanks,,,,Jim

When you were flying, was it windy? Can you provide a video sample? When you wiggle your Evo, does the gimbal move like it usually does? Are the rubber dampers in good condition? Does it respond correctly? There is a setting that makes the video jelly, but it doesn't pop into my mind right now. As soon as ir does, I'll post about it.

@Ansia Thanks for responding... No wind (3mph at 60 ft.), the gimbal seems to be as it has been for the year plus I have owned it. Flight modes are the same I've used forever. I haven't checked the dampers, as I do on my other drones, as they are not visible. The dampers could be the problem. What is the protocol in checking them? Thanks, Jim

Looking at mine, they seem fragile as they could be and no easy way to replace them. Just make sure the little string like rubber and in place, none are broken or hard.

You can do an IMU calibration. It can't hurt to try. If you have vibrations in one of the motors for misalignment, it could also be a factor to get jelly shots.

IMU calibration! There isn’t a way to do this in the app! You can do gimbal calibration but no IMU calibration.

I had two of these little rubber dampners torn. Autel said I would have to send back to them to repair.
@AndyUrtu Yep. My other drones have larger dampers and you can change them out as needed. The EVO is not like the P4 or H480 when it comes to self repairs. Still a great little drone with a stellar camera for a 1/2.3" sensor. I still haven't taken the time to check them. Mine is over 1 1/2 years old so they may have become brittle or torn. I've flown and transported it quite a bit. Might be time to send it to Autel for a gimbal overhaul.

I had a shaky gimbal once today going down fast the drone was wobbling ... we’ve had this problem when evo was out at beginning but they brought a firmware update that fixed this and it seem that the last update brought it back.
When you go down full speed it wobbles a little bit you do see it after in the video that the image is shaking. Hope that they will bring an update to fix it again. Problem is are they going to bring out update on the evo now that the evo 2 will be out! ?

Mine jitters and has jello.
Rubber dampeners are fine.
I have the newest firmware in it.
I bought it used. Updated it right away so no clue if it did it before.

This sucks......

Noticed same on mine, but this was my 3rd time out since getting the EVO back from Autel due to RC issue (they updated the firmware before returning it) Was very concerned looking at footage - this is the first time in nearly a year of having the EVO that I've seen this.

@2flush All drones will give you a bit of jello every once and a while.
I did a good pre-flight check on mine and removed and secured the props opposite where the were originally (A&B still... but just swapped sides) and the jello is gone. Still a bit of jitter when the camera is tilted down. I purchased a complete new set of props which won't be here until May 4th. Unbalanced props or props that have loosened up will cause problems. I bought the drone new and have used the same props for over 1/1/2 years. Definitely time for a new set. The wobble you are experiencing might be the need to do a compass calibration.
I always stay away from used gear unless I know the person I am buying it from and that they have taken care of it. Try doing a little maintenance and perhaps reloading the firmware via SD card. The last update, in part, was to get rid of gimbal jitter. Sometimes the update will say it is OK but misses installing the some of the data. I also reinstalled the FW. It took it and helped remove the jitter other than slight vibration with the camera tilted down. When the EVO is in good shape it is a great little drone. Good luck. Here is a link to a test flight I did after the maintenance.

I'll try the props. I have a new set sitting at home.
I did install update from sdcard.
The jitter isn't once in awhile. It's more often then not.

@2flush install it again. Like I said sometimes you get a false positive on the update.
Okay will do. Thanks for the idea.
Actually now that I think of it I installed it 3 times.
The original to update it and then 2 more times to update my batteries.
I'll download another copy and try again.
