Has anyone using the Max4T install a RTK hat on it for mapping purpose? I did set up an account to get it to work. The controller needs an internet connection to work, so you will need to use a hotspot on your other device. I was close to my router, so that was good enough for testing purpose. I threw my landing pad out on the grass and mark the spot were the front legs were sitting for reference. Everything was ready to fly with a Fixed position showing on the controller, so lets go and see how good it really is. I went out and flew for a while and hit the return to home to see what it would do. When it landed, it barely hit the landing pad. So I removed the RTK hat and went out and did another flight as before and hit the return to home and it was just 2” off from departure where it was a good 7” off one direction and 4” the other direction with the RTK. I did the same test two days in a row with just about the same results.

The program said it had a fixed connection at all times as I was watching for it to drop out.

Is their anyone in the group working with RTK and the Max 4T and have any idea of where to look or what to check? I did take pictures of the landing position before and after for reference.

So far, my reply from Autel is as follows.

Please try the following troubleshooting first:

1. Check RTK Setup: Ensure that the RTK base station is set up correctly and that the drone is receiving a strong and stable RTK signal.
2. Calibration: Perform a thorough calibration of the drone's IMU and compass. Sometimes, improper calibration can lead to landing inaccuracies.
3. GPS Signal Quality: Check the GPS signal quality. If the signal is weak or obstructed, it can affect the drone's ability to determine its exact position.
4. Environmental Factors: Consider environmental factors that might affect GPS accuracy, such as tall buildings, trees, or other obstacles that could interfere with the RTK signal.
5. Firmware Reinstallation: If issues persist, consider reinstalling the latest firmware to ensure that no installation errors occurred.

I've cover all those items except #5. Most of there checks are just gernic and they don't know the reason except maybe the firmware. Guess I should give that a try or there is going to
be one very cheap 4T going down the road.

Yes, I had a fixed lock when flying, so that part is good.
That is some good links in you post to read Rattler.

I have flown a dji mavic 3 enterprise with the rtk module. It is about the same in accuracy as the Autel with rtk when landing. THE BIG DIFFERENCE COMES WHEN YOU HAVE 2 RTK MODULES ON YOUR DRONE. I have A dji matrice 30. It lands inside of 3cm every time. 3cm is it's max landing deviation. I'm getting an ALPHA soon. It has 2 rtk modules as well. I expect to see the same results.

rcee: Which user manual are you referring to? The Autel one? I'm looking for that. If it is, I sure missed that one. Tks
