I contacted DroneTag for troubleshooting why my smartphone Android DroneScanner app is not showing my Autel Evo Lite +. Turns out the app and my phone are most likely not the problem.
Apparently, according to the site below, the Remote ID functionality for Autel drones is not very well implemented yet. Hoping the new V2.0.15 firmware will fix that

Yeah, it's pretty well known at least here on this board and in a few FB Groups that the Autel's don't show up on Android apps for some reason. I haven't had time to really dig into why... but I *do* see it with Wireshark and the opendroneid dissector for Wireshark. Which is odd, because opendroneid is what the android apps use to decode RID packets. Also, professional devices that law enforcement,public safety, FAA use all see it.

One of these days I'll get around to building one of the opendroneid demo apps in debug mode so I can see where it's failing with regard to displaying Autel's drone locations.

So basically right now, Autel users are protected from "Karens" trying to hunt you down using their phones... but not hiding from big brother.


Also, I have the latest code (this week) for the Evo 2 V3 on my 640T dual and still no joy on droid apps. (didn't check iOS apps, because iOS has issues decoding WiFi RID, which is what Autel uses)

Thanks Chris, and I now remember seeing one of your earlier posts about this. I guess the takeaway is that we're FAA compliant which is good, and less visible to neighborhood drone sleuths which is also good

Late to the party ! Read your post and recently got E2Pv3. Encountering same issue thought something was wrong with it. Back and forth with Autel Supp only to arrive that I am broadcasting fine. The pushed me off the DroneTag (example) says they may have a proprietary setup. I use DT for my DT Mini on my Phantom and works great. I;m just concerned that others that may be in fly area might not pay attention VLOS and become a nuisance. Guess just live with it for now.
