So just got a new Nano+ and immediately updated to to firmware 1.9.10 using an SD card. So I think I updated to 1.9.10 and now it "seems" to connect, but the RC signal strength goes from full to disconnected randomly. It will disconnect within 30 seconds every time- how soon seems random. It "seems" to connect in that I receive camera input and can move the gimbal, and it gives the ready to fly green prompt. But it will not launch (the rotors will spin approximately 3 seconds then stop) and I have yet to see the sky app identify what firmware it is running (it gives N/A firmware). It does sometimes identify that it is connected to a nano+ but again that seems random. Anyone with similar experience?

I'm running iPhone 8 and am 10 miles from a municipal airport... but have checked it 50 mi from airport with similar results. At this point I am not opposed to buying a dedicated android phone with no active cellular service if this would work.

Your probably right...I am screwed. But I thought I was doing it right on what the Autelpilot Support Team had sent me after the sky app failed to connect.

If you need support always refer to the official website. Autelpilot is a reseller. Resellers are known for terrible aftersales support.

BEST WISHES...let us know how things work out please.

FROM [email protected] on 12/8/24:

Please download the lastest firmware for your Nano+, also do not forget to upgrade Autel Sky app in App Store:
EVO-Nano_FW_V1.9.10.zip

Here is guidance on how to update firmware:
1. Before update, make sure the drone's battery level is at least 25%.
2. Format the SD card (FAT32 format), and copy only the firmware file to the card.
3. Power on the drone and wait for 2 minutes. Then install the SD card into the slot.
4. The indicators on the arms are flashing, indicating that the update/rollback has started.
5. Wait until the indicators are steady on, the update/rollback is complete.(Usually less than 15 mins)
6. Wait for 2 minutes and reboot the drone.
7. Pair up and check whether the update/rollback is successful or not.
*Note: It is important to note that once the firmware package is successfully read (the aircraft will start flashing after inserting the card, and the flashing will stop after a period of time), the firmware package in the SD card will be automatically deleted if the firmware is successfully flashed.

Anyone with success/failure following an SD card firmware update? Very curious because I'm still grounded (iOS version).

FYI there has since been an update (since last posting) to the Sky app around 1/11/25

Apple App Store shows these Sky versions now:

1.7.36
Jan 7, 2025

1.7.30
Dec 2, 2024

The 1.7.36 is probably a very minor point release. The 1.7.30 was the biggest change since 1.6.8 which is what I use with my iPad Mini 4, and aircraft Lite+ running FW 1.9.9. I personally have chosen to stay at 1.6.8 (Sky) and NOT upgrade because of new restrictions and all the problems related as I've seen on both the Nano+ and Lite+ forums.
