Everything got deleted on my phone. When I went to download the AutelSky app it is no longer on Google Play and the link on Autel's site goes nowhere. I am just sick right now.

looks that way for me too, but the Apple app store still has the iOS Sky App v 1.6.8. Autel is definitely up to something, maybe they're prepping to have the new Sky apps online soon.

Well Im not going to go out and buy an iphone just to fly my drone. Better off just buying another brand like Potensic or something.

Understood for sure. Mini ipad 4 tablets can be found on Walmart online for $100. That's what I use for RC work along with this holder Sky Fire Aerial - Controller Mount

I just looked on the play store and it's not there as well. What's the work around to download the app?

Go into your app settings and set your phone to accept apps from unknown sources (this will allow you to download from other sources OTHER than Google Play). Then, using your phone, go here and click on the QR Code.
App for Drone Camera, Drone Remote Control App
Click on the blue arrow button on that download page. That will download the app into "My Files" on your phone. Then open My Files and then Downloads and tap on that file. It will ask if you want to upload the app and you tell it yes.

I was a bit skeptical going this route. But right after I posted both here and on Facebook's Autel groups, I also contacted Autel CS. They gave me the exact same link and instructions.

It was pretty easy. If an old lady like me can do it anyone can.

Teckelhut,
Appreciate the response. Great work around :). Coincidently, just as I completed my inquiry to Autel regarding the missing app from the play store, your email came int. Perfect timing! Will be interesting to see what Autel has to say.....

"Autel support,
Attempted to download the Autel Sky app from the Google Play Store to my Android cell phone, though the app is no longer available on the Google Play Store? W/O the app I can't fly my Autel Evo Lite +. Why has the app been removed from the Play Store? Are there plans for an updated app, and when can the consumer expect to see the app back in the Google Play store?"

Email response from Autel Robotics on missing app from the Google Play Store: (The link in Orange below is actionable (live).

Hello,
Thank you for your email,

All the apps required for our products can be directly downloaded from our official website. Please click the link: App for Drone Camera, Drone Remote Control App to download them.Autel Robotics.png

Back in July, Autel released the new 1.4.100 for Android as an upgrade to the existing 1.4.68. It was never on Google play but you could request it from Autel CS in order to get the new firmware (2.0.15 for Lite Plus and 1.9.8 for Nanos). I declined to make that jump but I'm curious now where Sky version 1.4.83 for Android came from. First I've seen of that version number. Are you using it ...any problems ...what's new in the UI? I installed 1.4.100 on an Android device just to see the difference and only new UI piece was the ability to shut down props in flight..
The Android QR link on the Autel Robotics download page still points to 1.4.68
The iOS QR link still points to app store for version 1.6.8

thanks

Hi Teckelhut, thanks for your hints.
I followed your instructions and installed this version.
But now I have two problems:
In Album no pics show up, not in SD Card, not in Autel Sky. So no download possible. My old workaround with setting the system language to English doesn't work any more.
Second bug: in flight logs the distance is always 0 (zero), though in AirData it is shown correct.
Any ideas?
Regards
Oskar

12-09-2024 just uploaded the new firmware and because the app is no longer on Google app store. It refused to inform me of the firmware update. I found out because the firmware part was red but no notification to update. I un-installed and went to the autel website and did exactly what you said. Back in business now and I was able to update firmware as well as the app and etc. Tomorrow well; today I'll fly and make sure everything is good.
