Battery mod

Hello all. So today I made is out 17k ft today starting getting nervous because of the battery. I did return home when I reached back above home point had 32% battery left. So my thing is has anyone every attempted a battery mod for our evo 2. I know almost every mavic series has one. But would love if we had that option as well
Robert,

Funny, I was actually on a mission to do this very same thing. Would be amazing if we could get 50 mins out of this thing with a few more cells.
Heres my findings:

  • Battery consists of 3 Cells
  • 7100 mAh total so each cell is 2366 mAh @ 3.85v
  • Cell measurement is 96x40x11mm
  • Each cell weighs 110g
  • Manufacturer System5 Co., Ltd? Mostlikely GREPOW..
The problem is space, the drone has very limited space on where you can add an additional cell or two. Place on top and you obstruct the obstacle censors, below and the same thing. Place on the sides and now you block the side sensors and heat vents. Im sure someone can do it but this is no longer an easy job like the Mavic was. The easy part is running the wires out to your supplemental batteries, hard part is finding an optimal place to mount. Some pictures below.
