So this evening I went for a sunset flight and out of nowhere when I pointed the gimbal towards the ground with the wheel, no problem. But when I went to adjust it upward it pointed further down. No matter what I did, same thing. Calibrated the gimbal, nope. Rebooted everything, nope.

Any suggestions?

Is it the drone or is it the RC? If you can borrow a different RC I would try that.

After contacting Autel, we went through several troubleshooting and firmware checking, nothing worked.
They wrote a ticket and told me that he talked to the rest of their team for possible solutions. If no further solutions, I would have to send in both the drone and rc. Within 20 minutes they emailed with the suggestion to calibrate the rc and BINGO!It worked.
All the good things I've heard about Autel customer service is true. I was very satisfied with the total experience.

And such a simple fix. I’m going to guess you had done a recent firmware update and forgot to calibrate everything again?
Have a great weekend flying.

Nope. Before I flew for the first time I updated everything and did the RC calibration. But....after I did the joysticks, it never confirmed that it was done so I just exited out then flew for 3 days. Day four is when the problem started.
After calibration the 2nd time is when I noticed the little wheel icon in the top left corner. And boom...I realize my mistake.

Operator error strikes again!

I sure am glad you got that all straightened out. Fly safe this weekend.
