Parrot has been going the route of commercial UAV's lately. Some pretty darn good products for mapping and such.
I would not discount them as not playing in the same league. I would say they are a step above right now.

Thanks for the insight, Augustine. A brief cruise around the web does show Parrot has secured a place in the professional market. I only knew about their cheap offerings but they obviously have moved on from there.

Our State Police (michigan) use Pix4D on the Enterprise level...very expensive

Guess it wasn't a bebop drone. Still cool though as it has 3X optical zoom thanks to it's 21 megapixel camera. No obstacle avoidance though...
