I am going to be shooting a lot of ocean/boat videos & photos. Do you guys have any tips for this type of footage? I will also be doing follow me videos while cruising on the boat. I read that during follow me mode, the drone only flies about 20mph. Is there anyway to get it to fly faster? Did they fix this in the new software update?

One thing for sure is make sure the homepoint is not set to where you started from if you are 3 miles up the lake. It might not make it back
Yes I have read to update your home point constantly if you are moving. Definitely will keep this in mind. I wish that was one of the updates done to the new software (updating home point constantly).

I'd definitely be careful doing that. I know a guy who's drone is now an artificial fishing reef in the Gulf of Mexico. You might even consider using some type of flotation device, homemade or store bought.
