I may have made a discovery. I guess most EVO owners have never filmed in PAL but since I imported my EVO to PAL-land a month ago, that's what I switched to, ie 25fps + 1/50 shutter speed or 50fps + 1/100. Then, a few days ago, in my ongoing settings tests, I switched to NTSC, ie 30fps + 1/60 or 60fps + 1/125.
What I discovered (I think) is that NTSC produces smoother video than PAL - and since smooth yaws are, for me, the Holy Grail, I was quite excited about it…although it might mean that the PAL algorithm is buggy (for the perhaps understandable reason that Autel aren't selling to PAL-land so maybe didn't test it exhaustively).
But I say "think" because I'm still in Novice mode and barely know what I'm doing. So if anyone else has compared NTSC and PAL output, I would be interested to know if you see a difference.
