Doubtfull advice: Your insurance, it might require you to have your aircraft up to date.A lot of us learned to not update the firmware on Autel drones if the drone is working fine.
All I can say is that those of us who have been flying them for 3+ years have learned this lesson the hard way. I do understand your point about the insurance though. Seems to me that if the drone is working fine and in compliance with all rules and regs, there should be no issue with the insurance but of course I'm no expert in that arena.Doubtfull advice: Your insurance, it might require you to have your aircraft up to date.
Why bricked??!! I Fly without Remote Id..Setting the Remote ID does not work in the EU. So basically, the EVO Lite+ is bricked here.
You can do that, but that's not legal here anymore. I don't want to risk a fine of 50.000 €. I can't even sell the thing at a loss, as nobody in the EU will buy it.Why bricked??!! I Fly without Remote Id..
OK, so then tell me how you managed to enter it in the app. When I enter my e-ID there, I'm being told that the ID is invalid.Te RID works perfectly fine in the EU. How do you think they get the Lite certified ?????

Fine for you that you are so rich that you haven't have to care about such fines. I live far enough from a large airport here that I'm out of the no-fly-zone (so flying here is basically legal), but a fact is, that they are using drone scanners to protect the commercial planes. Thus, the risk of being discovered is way above zero, and I don't have the spare money to pay the fine.I don't care.. I fly smart
