Is there a way to hover (steadly) with the EVO II at a 5-10 cm above ground? I tried to turn off the landing protection but it didn't help (reaching ~30cm above ground, the drone stops. If I keep ordering it to go down it enters its automatic landing mode...)

You can try turning off your Downward Vision Position or Visual Obstacle Avoidance or Both in the settings of the controller your using.

Sorry you can't solve this problem.
Maybe if you set the height in a mission. I've never tried that low before.
I got nothing else. Good luck. Hope you fine a solution.
I would do some experiments but theirs to much snow and it's way to cold.
When I can, I will and get back to you.

I have a similar issue. I'm a home inspector and am inspecting roofs with my Evo II Pro. Often, if I try to fly close, it will suddenly try to land, even on a pitched roof. I'd love a way to turn off automatic landing altogether or at least give me a warning.
