Flying near cell towers, etc

One of the things I want to do is tower inspections, but I've heard and read that the emissions from many towers can cause telemetry interruption and loss of control of the drone. Any opinions on this? Is anyone doing cell tower inspections?

I've not done inspections but have flown near one and had no issues.
