I recently purchased the Autel Evo Lite+ Enterprise with the 640T thermal camera. The thermal imaging works great, but I’m surprised by how limited the software features seem to be.

The AI identification function only draws boxes around people and cars—is there more to it? The UAV app on the controller feels barebones, with basic waypoint planning and photo capture, but not much else.

Has anyone found a way to use the Sky app (or another third-party app) to unlock more functionality, especially for AI tracking? Thermal is impressive, but I expected more versatility from an enterprise-grade drone.

The identification feature is also used in "Tripod" mode, where it can identify and then track a specific target. I've found it hard sometimes, at least in colder weather, to get the touchscreen to lock on a target. I've successfully locked on to moving vehicles, but it doesn't take a lot of tree interference for the software to lose the target, even though I can plainly see its path. I can see where in open areas it would certainly be useful.

I agree that the waypoint feature set is pretty limited. Choosing a point using the aircraft location and orientation would be nice.

How are the Waypoints input normally? I'm a heavy custom AF builder and flyer, so am well versed with ind control and dev software like Mission Planner and QGC..but am looking to get a thermal drone without having to build. I guess I'm wondering if it allows for lat/long input for WP location? Thanks in advance!
