Evo Lite 640t Enterprise Real Name Registration

Hello Everyone!
I am expeirenced drone pilot with DJI & FPV but i am new to autel. I just picked up the Autel Evo Lite 640t enterprise and was really excited. I charged everything yesterday and went to set it up. I don't believe there is a companion app for it as i think it is built into the controller. I had issues intially connecting to wifi due to tape still being on the gimbal (it needed to pass its gimbal test before activating). While fighting to get it connected to wifi, i did see an option asking me my country which i set to United States. My remote ID says it is broadcasting & i registered it with the FAA already. However, the drone will not take off. I am getting a real name registeration error and it wants me to download a chinese government app to register with the chinese cival aviation administration. Also, the map shows the drone in the United States yet the controller as still in China.
I just passed my Part 107 and was really excited to get a thermal drone but now i am thinking i will have to return it & wait for DJI to come back in stock. I already emailed my sales representative & will be contacting autel support directly tomorrow but does Anyone have any suggestions?

Just a comment from someone who has this drone. I would hate to see you return it just for that. Seems like something that can be worked out, but I don't have an answer for you on how to do it. I got mine a couple of years ago and it worked out of the box and I haven't had any issues at all.

So your problem is a firmware. To my knloage Autel does not make a Autel Evo Lite 640t Enterprise. What they do make is a Autel EVO II 640T Enterprise. I had an Autel EVO II 640R Enterprise V2. I had some of the same issues you will need to conect your drone to a home internet connection and upgrade both the app and your firmware. Once you have done that you should be able to reset your location.

I had some of the same issues wih mine not taking off and doing wierd things. You should note that amsot all Autel drones come with the location set to China.

All the Lite drones use a different app the the Enterprise ones. You might make sure if you have Autel EVO II 640T Enterprise that you are using the Enterprise app.

I currenly have an Autel MAX 4T

The app is called UAV but the listing called it the enterprise app.
I did finally get it to work. initially, just the drone updated. After getting the smart controller to update, it took a couple extra power cycles to fully update the location.
 
I am also looking at this little thermal drone. What do you think about it? I don't like the software being on Android 6 when Android 15 is the current version.

Currently having the same issue. Drone updated but the controller home is still in china. I have tried many times to update the RC but the updates continues to fail. Any advice on the procedure you used to update? I'm receiving error code: Code_10011

I was just having the same problem. Second flight and I realized I was "in China" and my drone was in Oklahoma. did a manual check of firmware, got the update option, then when I was done. everything worked. I also made sure to calibrate the controller compass. You have to do aircraft and controller separately. Those two things fixed that problem. Now I have to figure out why white/dark heat aren't working when they did when I first turned it on out of the box.

Can you work past the error to do an IMU calibration?

I am still pretty new with it but I have everything working now. It flies well. I finally realized the controller has a record button for the drone (which saves the thermal & the regular video separately) and a screen recorder button for the controller screen with all the overlays. Here is a link to a quick flight I took recently.

This was sold as an 'enterprise lite'. I always believed enterprise to mean accessories could be added but I don't believe the enterprise accessories work with this (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). But for a reasonably priced thermal drone, i can't complain.

Have you tried reconnecting to wifi or different internet connections? Initially, only my drone updated. The next day, I tried connecting through a mobile Hotspot and i calibrated the compass. then when I reconnected to my home wifi again, I was able to update the RC. I could only imagine a low battery forces a RTH & the drone starts flying back to China...

Do you believe this kit can be used for commercial work? I have a v3 enterprise and considered a thermal camera, but it's much higher for the camera/gimbal than this entire kit.
