Does this type of case exist? I currently have Empire Drone EVO II Case by GPC, I'm wondering if anyone tried to modify it to fit smart controller?

I've spoken to these people and the can build you what you want. Just a little on the pricey side but the merchandise looked worth every penny.
They looked like the best choice that I found. I haven't bought one for myself yet but will soon.
You can contact them by email and they will need the dimensions of the case you need and what goes in the case.

I have the Evo 2 Pro GPC rugged case and the bottom layer has a large cutout which will fit the smart controller (with an inch+ to spare for cords etc). I placed the smart controller face down, handle up. That still left space for cords and Alientech antenna.

I trimmed 4 long foam spacers to border each side and which raised the upper/ removable layer about 3/4". This was enough to clear the smart controller handle.... yet allow the case to latch with only a few ounces of pressure. (I don't have first hand familiarity with the Evo 2 (standard?) carry GPC case you described.

I did the same - it's the quickest solution. However, it makes the pre-flight preparations just a little longer: 1) remove the top layer and set it to one side, re-attach (screw in) the joy sticks which have to be removed and screwed into the handle for storage 3) take out the SC and set it aside, 4) replace the top layer to then take out the EVO II and prepare for flight as usual. I'm also facing an issue with the GPC rugged case layout because it only has cutouts for 3 batteries and I've had to get a fourth battery to get me through a day of jobs. So I might have to go for a custom case.

Thanks guys! I was able to get my controller into the case! I laser cut several layers of foam to serve as spacers on top side. Then I put blue tape on the bottom of the top compartment and made impressions from the joysticks on it. Then I drilled out space for joysticks using 3/4" spade drill bit. This worked out great! Only issue is I had to remove metal stand/bracket. So that's some extra work installing/removing it before flight. I'm going to machine a low profile bracket with eyelets for the harness.

I have the two layer Autel case with the large cut out. What I have done is to put a bit of bubble wrap on the end opposite the handle. This raises that end and lowers the handle so with just min pressure I can close the case and I have not cut any of the foam.
