Hadn't flown my x-star premium for a couple of years. Got it out about a month ago, charged everything and downloaded latest firmware. Altitude was limited to about 15 feet and it kept trying to fall out of air. Took it to local repair shop and was told that firmware download messed up main board somehow and that other customers had encountered same problem. I contacted Autel and ended up mailing them the drone. Received an email saying that main board requires replacement and total repair cost will be $217.00. My x-star use to fly great, never a problem. I'm irritated that a firmware update would require repair that Autel wants to paid for. Not sure if I want to invest the $217.00. Would if I knew the drone would be restored to like it use to be, but Autel might find other problems after replacing the board. Any advice?
