You may have noticed in the manual, or seen threads on here, that the instructions for compass calibration are conflicting.

The wording says nose down yet the picture shows nose up.

Erk ?

I emailed Autel Support to seek a definitive answer.

They said:

Thank you for contacting Autel Customer Support.
The drone can face in either direction. Typically I face upwards. Im sorry for the confusion in the manual. I will pass it to the department in charge of the manuals.

So there you have it ?

Up or down does not matter, what matters is that the device is in the vertical axis.
Ditto, in horizontal calibration, the nose can be inward or outward, that doesn't change anything, I have already done it without any disastrous consequences.
What matters is that the two axes are done correctly in the right shots.
