AUTEL ROBOTICS!: Ready to meet Max?

I would say an M300-sized machine (maybe a little smaller)
So maybe about the size of the M30? (< 4 kg MTOM)
Probably we could see a CES presentation of
1) a smaller 360°-Pano-MAX (top+bottom cams) drone
2) and a larger sized drone maybe using some Dragonfish-like payloads
3) or a larger sized drone with Dragonfish-like payloads plus 360°-Pano-MAX-cams for FPV orientation, BVLOS air traffic monitoring etc.

Meanwhile I am quite curious of what is really at the horizon ...

I am more impressed that not a single clue has leaked yet; probably more impressed than I will be in the actual product. It would be great if Autel would fix the products and HW they already have before focusing on something new.

Last time I check, top software minds are in silicon valley, and israel... India not the place to do world class software despite having lots of intelligent engineers.

India actually has great SW engineers and for far less than US based developers; the problem though is that over there they don't follow the typical software development design best practices so they can develop great software cheaply; but it is very hard to upgrade, make changes, or fix bugs when they are found. Of course that is an over generalization and I am sure there are some that are better than others, but India is known as the country where you can get something developed fast and cheap.....but good luck upgrading, fixing, or maintaining it.

Here's my guess (dream).

A direct M30 and FLIR SIRAS competitor.

  • Interchangeable payloads (The correct way, not a partial disassembly and connection of a ribbon cable that could wear)
    • MultiSpectral
    • Thermal + Zoom (100x hybrid Zoom) + Laser Range Finder
    • Mechanical Shutter Full Frame Mapping Themed Camera
    • Possibly others like LiDAR
  • IP Rating equal to M30
  • RTK built in
  • +40 minutes flight time
  • Extended Warranty/Replacement Available
  • Factory Maintenance Plans
  • 360 degree Super Zoom feature similar to Skydio X2
  • Smart type Controller
  • Dual Controller Support
  • Smart Flight Modes for Enterprise or Public Safety
  • Integrated Payload Release system
  • Enterprise worthy software ecosystem
    • Flight Logs
    • Live Stream
    • Maintenance
    • Pilot Currency
    • Inspections
    • CRM
    • Mission Planning and LAANC integrated
  • Priced equal to FLIR SIRAS @ < $10K with the Thermal + Zoom + LRF payload
  • Promise to support the aircraft now and in the future with reliable firmware, parts and batteries
  • A Real Maintenance Manual that can point towards true Air Worthiness with inspections, and on condition and hardtime maintenance
  • A bulk charging solution that has a storage voltage
  • Enough Parts and Labor to be Made in the USA

If Autel does half of it, they will definitely make some waves and if they do most of it I'm buying one first day offered for sale.

doesnt this kinda kills the 640T models?
I'm wondering if it's another level or two up from those with 360' cameras to go with the thermal camera. Just speculating at this point.

also maybe we just saw the Evo3. Autel can use EvoMax shell for Evo3 down the road

Will be interesting to see how the term "radiometric" will be translated here into data. As we have it for the 640T with IRG files? Solar panel inspection platforms (i e. pilot pools) don't accept these and often even not R-Jpeg in the FLIR format. They only accept DJI's R-Jpeg.
