Lots to discuss like the impending Insurance Law in HK for recreational use; and the Philippine's Gov seemingly very relaxed view on drone use.

hk insurance still not yet finalized, but anyhow with the latest drone law drone as a hobby is pretty much eliminated

Sadly, you maybe right.
HK Insurance for personal drone use was forecast to be about HKD1000 per year. Cheapest I've found so far is HKD 1500 from PacificPrime, for up to 2 named pilots. Commercial Insurance, surprisingly, is about the same.

yes, also chinese government don't want us to play with drones but seems relaxed a bit recently

I think that is because most drone pilots are being sensible in HK. Not many air proximity reports or drone accidents are official reported.

I do live in hope tho!
